We are pleased to announce that we are now ambassadors for Jeremiah’s Journey as our chosen charity.
As a company we are passionate about supporting our local community and in particular working with local charities. Over the last year we have supported several local charities and decided that we would like to link with Jeremiah’s Journey. Our aim is to support their fundraising events, raise awareness and run our own fundraisers.
Why Jeremiah’s Journey?
Jeremiah’s Journey is a fantastic local charity, their mission is to ensure that no child or family is alone in their grief.
As a company we felt particularly passionate about supporting this cause and met with the small team at JJ’s HQ. We heard about the struggles of raising funds for charity in this current financial climate. We also learnt about the valued support they provide the local community.
What does Jeremiah’s Journey do?
They are a bereavement charity providing age-appropriate therapeutic interventions for children and young people based in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. They provide emotional and practical support for children, young people and their families who are pre-bereavement, expecting the death of someone special, and those who have been bereaved.
Their services include extended group therapy in the community, memory days, family days, individual support, training to professionals and community groups, advice and support. They also work with parents and carers and they facilitate peer to peer support groups for the wider family. Their aim is to reduce the emotional, psychological and mental health consequences of bereavement. They believe that no child or young person should be alone in their grief and they aim to ensure that they can face the future with hope.

We have been involved in some previous fundraising and awareness events. These have been great fun and we look forward to being involved in many more.
SAS: Who Bears Wins!
Tom our company founder joined Jeremiah Bear on the Hoe for SAS: Who Bears Wins! As you may remember Tom was a recruit in 2022 SAS: Who Dares Wins TV series. Tom met the bear to put him through his paces!!

By considering them as your chosen charity when taking on a challenge for charity. You can follow their social pages on Facebook and Instagram where you can keep up to date with what they are up to as a charity and any social events they have coming up that you might like to get involved in.
But one of the best ways you can support Jeremiah’s Journey is by spreading awareness. Sharing what they do as a charity and their cause! This helps services users to become aware that there is support for children and families going through bereavement. It also raises more awareness to bring in potential sponsors for the charity.
